Road Trip: Day Nine

Fort Mill, SC to Accokeek, MD (a.k.a. a full day of driving)

(Still haven't killed each other...yet!)
425 miles
7.5 hours
2 pitstops
1 Waffle House

Today we drove for almost eight hours. Somewhere in Virginia we stopped at Waffle House for lunch. Waffle House is a southern fast food chain famous for their biscuits and hash browns. While sitting at the counter, I was reminded of the song The Bad Touch by Bloodhound Gang. The menu was filled with slang words to describe how the hash browns are prepared.

Smothered = Sautéed Onions
Covered = Melted Cheese
Chunked = Grilled Hickey Smoked Ham
Diced = Grilled Tomatoes
Peppered = Spicy Jalapeño Peppers
Capped = Grilled Button Mushrooms
Topped = Bert's Chili
Country = Sausage Gravy

I have learned many new things on this trip but the greatest discovery has been that the lyrics "I want you smothered, want you covered like my Waffle House hash browns" are actually an allusion to something real!

Since today was a rather dull day on the road, I will let the Bloodhound Gang entertain you... see if you can hear the line!
