Election Day

Usually, I avoid expressing my political opinions on the internet. But today I will make an exception. The outcome of today's election will have a significant impact on the future wellbeing of women in the United States. As women, we must make sure that our voices are heard and our votes counted. When you go to the polls today, remember all of the men and women who fought for women's suffrage. Remember that women's suffrage and equality was a radical idea less than one hundred years ago.

In 2012, we can't afford to elect a president who doesn't see women's issues as America's issues. If you haven't voted yet, get to your voting center now! Don't let laziness, "busyness," or apathy get in the way of your rights!

If you have cast your vote like me, keep up to date with the election results! It is going to be an exciting (and hopefully satisfying) election!

  1. Congratulations to your generation of young women! Your future is looking brighter today, filled with possibility and choices that might have been curtailed had this election gone the other way. You will need to work hard and strong and smart to keep it moving forward, but you can do it!
