Hooking Up

I have never been a fan of the college hookup scene but Hanna Rosin's article Boys on the Side has completely changed my outlook.  Rosin writes that "the hookup culture that has largely replaced dating on college campuses has been viewed, in many quarters, as socially corrosive and ultimately toxic to women... [However, it is actually] an engine of female progress-one being harnessed and driven by women themselves."

Rosin highlights how college hook-up culture enables women to satisfy their physical needs without forcing them to abandon their professional aspirations.  In essence, college hookup culture enables women to do and have it all!
