Beauty Bar

Have you ever been to Beauty Bar? When my friends first suggested going there, I expected a place similar to Dry Bar: a brightly lit, open space where my friends and I could gossip while being pampered. This was not the case. Beauty Bar is a dive bar in the East Village, where you can get a cocktail and a manicure for a total of ten bucks. Although it wasn't what I expected, I had a fantastic experience. The manicurist was funny and engaging, the drinks were strong, and the atmosphere was great. Not to mention that the manicure lasted over a week!
