Brooklyn Marathon: Four Weeks To Go!
I ran twenty miles on Saturday and today I am dead. My entire body aches from my neck down to my feet. I have several new blisters and sore knees, but heightened spirits! I killed those twenty miles, running sub-nine-minute miles and finishing in under three hours! Although I definitely could not have run another six miles afterwards, I felt great during the run. Which gave me hope that I can break four hours for my marathon in a month!
Now my biggest concern is recovering before my race. At the moment it feels like my body will never be back to normal. But I am hoping this taper will restore my muscles and erase my pain. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
